Meeting with Connecticut Guidance Counselors

CTMA members met with CT Guidance Counselors at Windham High School on the morning of April 24, 2007 to present the importance of manufacturing in CT.
The presentation focused on the need to interest young people in the industry, opportunities available, compensation levels, career paths and working conditions.

Some future ideas include setting up a booth in high schools to attract students and collaborating with a technical high school to create a summer camp program for 12-15 olds and offering hands-on opportunities in specific shops.

Bruce Dworak, President of CTMA's Board of Directors, and President of Hobson & Motzer, Durham, CT kicks of the meeting with Guidance Counselors.

Guidance Counselors throughout the state of CT listen to Bruce at April 24th meeting.
