Meeting with
Connecticut Guidance Counselors
CTMA members met with CT Guidance Counselors at
Windham High School on the morning of April 24, 2007 to
present the importance of manufacturing in CT. The
presentation focused on the need to interest young
people in the industry, opportunities available,
compensation levels, career paths and working
conditions.Some future ideas include setting up a booth in high
schools to attract students and collaborating with a
technical high school to create a summer camp program
for 12-15 olds and offering hands-on opportunities in
specific shops.
